adv всегда (1). Always, как и вся группа наречий неопределенного времени, обычно употребляется в предложениях с глаголом в форме Indefinite и стоит, как правило, перед основным глаголом. Исключение составляют глаголы to be и to have — наречия группы always стоят после них. Эту группу составляют следующие наречия: always, briefly, constantly, ever, frequently, generally, indefinitely, never, occasionally, often, hardly ever, permanently, really, regularly, repeatedly, seldom, usually. (2). Always употребляется в утвердительных предложениях в значении at all — всегда, во все времена. В отрицательном предложении ему соответствует наречие never — никогда. Русскому Он всегда не спит в поезде соответствует He never sleeps in train; русскому Он всегда недоволен — He is never pleased. Если always употребляется в отрицательном предложении, то акцент смещается с отрицания глагола на само наречие:He doesn't always come in time

Русские отрицательные предложения типа он всегда не спит (не отвечает, не пишет) передаются в английском языке наречием never: he never sleeps in train он никогда не спит в поезде; he is never pleased он всегда недоволен. Always в отрицательных предложениях типа he doesn't always come in time соответствует в русском языке он не всегда приходит вовремя, ср. he never comes in time он всегда опаздывает/приходит не вовремя/никогда не приходит вовремя.
